“PortGate”: Shouldn’t U.S. Homeland Security Be Made In America?
Read John L. submits the following to us by email:
After going ballistic about “PortGate” and the implied dangers for US homeland security, one must ask another question, not as vital as security, but very important nonetheless.
The big question: Why is US port security not an American enterprise?
Indeed, if America can spend hundreds of billions of dollars in securing Iraq and Afghanistan, why in the hell are we using a foreign government to protect our own ports?
After all, America is still unequalled when it comes to technical innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, right? With more than $6 billion involved, surely there is sufficient profit to attract “Yankee” business men and women!
With American firms like General Motors and Ford skating dangerously close to bankruptcy, is there no way to make US port security a venture for those economic giants to pursue?
Granted, manufacturing autos has nothing to do with managing huge ports. But does that mean America must automatically turn security over to UAE, a country that probably has links to terrorism? An Arab entity with the same stated goals toward Israel as the psychotic president of Iran and the terrorists of Hamas?
Halliburton seems an excellent vendor in Iraq, so is there a way to use them for our port security?
As we celebrate this President’s Day, let us hope that GW Bush tackles “PortGate” head on by canceling the outrageous UAE transaction, firing Michael Chertoff, and by insisting that port security be “Made in America” — by and for Americans!

Guys, I hope this port deal will be a wake-up call to Americans to really start taking a look at what’s going on.
Where the root of all this stems is the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. The fact is the US Federal Reserve and other central banks in european countries are owned by the same 12 banks, and it can all be traced back to the Rothschild family. That is fact. This family was estimated to be worth over 6 billion back in 1850. These days they could be worth conservatively dozens of trillions. With that kind of wealth you could shape global events easily and profit from war, then profit from the reconstruction afterward. It’s wrong for the US central bank to be privately owned, but the 1913 Fed act made this possible. A 1982 court case re-affirmed this; the 9th circuit ruled “the Federal Reserve is a private institution”. People should investigate this for themselves, by taking a look at the 1982 court case against the Fed and reading the court’s ruling. That should throw up immediate red flags for any American.
The case is Lewis v. United States. Later quote from President Wilson: “I have unwittingly ruined my country”.

“Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who
makes her laws†- Mayer Amschel Rothschild
“It [Central Bank] gives the National Bank almost complete control of national finance. Those few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependant on its favours, that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system, will bear its burden without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.”
- Rothschild Brothers of London, 1863
If that mischievous financial policy which had its origin in the North American Republic should become indurated down to a fixture, then that government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off its debts and be without a debt. It will become prosperous beyond precedent in the history of the civilized governments of the world. The brains and wealth of all countries will go to North America. That government must be destroyed or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe. - Mayer Amschel Rothschild
“The world is governed by personalities very different to what people
that cannot see further than their eyes, believe” - Benjamin Disraeli - British Prime Minister
“The one who cannot see that on Earth a big endeavor is taking place,
an important plan, on which realization we are allowed to collaborate
as faithful servants, certainly has to be blind” - Winston Churchill
“Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.” - Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991
“The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen….At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties.” - New York City Mayor John F. Hylan, 1922
“The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control…. Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent.” - Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets
“I have two great enemies, the southern army in front of me and the financial institutions in the rear. Of the two, the one in the rear is the greatest enemy. The money power preys upon the nation in times of peace, and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces, as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes.”
- Abraham Lincoln
“You (Rothschilds) are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the Eternal God, I will rout you out. If the American people only understood the rank injustice of our money and banking system, there would be a revolution before morning.”
- Andrew Jackson
“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.”
- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Please note: port security is under the jurisdiction of U.S. Customs (yes, the same U.S. Customs that guards our borders) and the U.S. Coast Guard.
DP World is buying the terminal operations of P&O, which is primarily the right to load and unload the ships and keep the cargo sorted.
DP World DOES NOT HAVE the authority to hire just anyone to work at the terminal. They will have to use ILA labor (for East Coast & Gulf Ports) and ILWU labor if they operate any ports on the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada.
Just thought I’d clarify…

March Hare,
I’d like to clarify your clarification. The UAE state-owned company will not be handling port security. However, they will have access to those security specifications, which an infiltrator can pass on.
Sorry, I’m totally against the idea of having a company owned by a foreign govt having ANYTHING to do with our ports. Not the UAE, not the UK, not the country of Transnistria. Not even private enterprise. I’m as much a capitalist as the next man. But the ONLY institution that should have access to our port security protocols is the US govt, NO ON ELSE.
This is not about left or right. This is not about liberal or democrat. This is about RIGHT and WRONG.
