The Worst President, The Worst Ex-President
I haven’t been bashful in letting people know that I think of Jimmy Carter as the worst president in American history. I’ve also been vocal in telling people that I think he’s been a disaster in his post-presidency, from gladhanding thugs and tyrants the world over to Bush-hating to thinking that he was a great president. Now comes this incendiary quote about the warrantless wiretap program that’s protected us from another attack:
“Under the Bush administration, there’s been a disgraceful and illegal decision, we’re not going to the let the judges or the Congress or anyone else know that we’re spying on the American people,” Carter told reporters. “And no one knows how many innocent Americans have had their privacy violated under this secret act.”
It’s interesting that President Carter would intentionally get the facts wrong solely for political gain. Saying that President Bush isn’t going to “let…the Congress or anyone else know that we’re spying on the American people” is ignoring the fact that Lt. Gen. Hayden briefed the ‘Big 8′, as they’re being called, on the terrorist intercept program approximately once every 45 days. (The Big 8 consists of the House Speaker and Minority Leader, the Senate Majority and Minority Leaders and the Chair and co-chair of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.)
This isn’t a little mistake, either. President Bush has said on at least 2 occasions “If I intended to keep this secret, why would I brief Congress about it?” This was a semi-punchline in his presentations. In fact, if memory serves, I think that Jimmy Carter commented on one of those speeches. He can’t now say that the President tried keeping this program from Congress.
“It’s a ridiculous argument, not only bad, it’s ridiculous. Obviously, the attorney general who said it’s all right to torture prisoners and so forth is going to support the person who put him in office. But he’s a very partisan attorney general and there’s no doubt that he would say that,” Carter said. “I hope that eventually the case will go to the Supreme Court. I have no doubt that when it’s over, the Supreme Court will rule that Bush has violated the law.”
That’s what’s happened to this bitter old man. He praises thugs like Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Castro and even says that we should treat Hamas with dignity and respect, yet he’s quick to call OUR PRESIDENT A LIAR AND A CRIMINAL. You tell me what’s wrong with THAT picture.
It’s time for Carter to stop traipsing around the world sucking up to thugs and to go back to building homes for Habitat for Humanity. And for him to never been seen or heard from again. He’s that big of a disgrace.

Jimmy Carter “…to thinking that he was a great president.”
I believe Carter deep inside knows he was a failure that’s why he keeps trying to make up for it by being the world’s greatest statesman.
He’s not aware that he is merely compounding his failures -but he won’t stop until he feels vindicated.
Like a man digging a hole to catch a bird -every time he sees one fly over his head he digs deeper in hopes of catching it.

President Carter is so clueless that he doesn’t realize he is embarrassing himself and has become a laughing stock. What Republican president or Democrat President would ever ask his opinion about foreign policy or about security issues? President Clinton has been invited many times to join President Bush (43) and President Bush (45) but Carter has never been included just because he’s such a loose cannon about foreign policy and security issues. To be such a nut case that you aren’t invited to go with all the other former Presidents to the burial of the Pope says all you need to know about the reputation of President Carter. To hear President Carter declaim about security issues and foreign policy is like watching a former College Prof. drooling in his dotage: fascinatingly repellent.
