Police Protection For The Promoters of Terrorism
The priviledges of democracy and Western culture.

Have they forgotten the London bombings? We haven’t.
Can you imagine a protester carrying a sign in New York that reads: “America: You Need Another 9/11?” Just try it.

As it relates, the UK’s Guardian Unlimited reports:
In London, the home secretary, Charles Clarke, branded the activities of Islamist protesters outside the Danish embassy last week as “unacceptable”. He told MPs he was pleased the response to the publication of the Danish cartoons had “in general been respectful and restrained in the best traditions of British tolerance”. But he added: “If the police conclude there have been breaches of the law and decide to take any action, we would, of course, support them.”
Scotland Yard has set up a special squad to investigate the demonstrations and the placards on display which called for the death of those who “insult Islam”. The inquiry will examine everything from video recordings made by officers to photographs published in newspapers.
One protester, who was photographed apparently dressed like a suicide bomber, apologised “wholeheartedly” yesterday. Omar Khayam, 22, appeared outside his house in Bedford accompanied by the chairman of his local mosque and his local MP. He said he had not intended to cause offence to the victims of the July 7 London bombings or their relatives but added that his protest remained valid because of the hurt caused to Muslims by the publication of the Danish cartoons.
He “apologizes,” but not really.
The same way moderate Muslims are condemning the behavior of their people.

It is funny the muslim reaction in Ireland has been very dignified. No protests of note. Just appearing on TV and radio saying that they were deeply offended by the cartoons and condemned the riots.
ah water cannon i remember during euro 2000. (Soccer european championship in holland). These english hooligans were rioting. and the dutch police hit one of them with the water cannon and he went flying was great. The english have a problem with far right groups rioting at soccer matchs.
here is what happened the last time they played ireland

but anyway thats off topic.
I wonder what drives such reactions in Britian compared to Ireland. Are first genreation more interested in intergration then their kids? Is it weight of numbers? Social Class?

Well, I wonder what the reaction would be if those of us in the West ran around with signs saying “Death to Muslims” Oh, the outrage we could expect to have heaped upon us. The problem is that we only hold those people that look like us to the standards we hold dear. The left does not realize how racist they are, and how destructive to civilization they are, when they continually make excuses for the violent and uncivilized behavior of non Western peoples. They don’t seem to understand that the people most likely to suffer are not Westerners at all, but those that are forced to live in uncivilized societies.
