Masked Gunmen Kill 21 Shiite Students

One might almost call that a “massacre.”

AP reports:

“Masked gunmen stopped two minivans carrying students north of Baghdad Sunday, ordered the passengers off, separated Shiites from Sunni Arabs, and killed the 21 Shiites “in the name of Islam,” a witness said.

We won’t say it.

But as GatewayPundit pointed out last week, the MSM only calls it a “massacre” when Marines are allegedly involved.

Of course. Theirs was only “Friendly Persuasion”. Kinda like trying to talk the US into leaving Iraq and/or Afghanistan by removing heads of innocents. That’s just “Friendly Persuasion”, too.

If they were thugs on some street in some big city, USA, they’d have to be “understood” because of their deprived childhood. That train of thought easily transfers to being raised in a religion that values the taking of human life, as long as the life doesn’t believe EXACTLY like you do.

Question: Since the libs/moonbats accuse conservative Christians of raising their children that way, isn’t it odd that a) there aren’t Christian jihadists and b) the media excuse those teachings with Muslims but condemn such teachings in Christianity (even though those teachings aren’t occuring, to my knowledge, in any sect of Christianity)?

Just sayin’.

I won’t be commenting on Haditha for the reasons pointed out here, however pointing out media double-standards is something that needs to occur when idiocy is on display. Please see California Conservatives note regarding the use of the word mass…

Well, the reason this isn’t called a massacre is because only 21 were killed. When Muslims kill just 21, the world views it as a typical passionate, Third World disagreement.

If Americans turn out to have murdered 24 Iraqis, the world will see it as the equivalent of Muslims having killed 2400.

It’s a back-handed compliment. The world expects more of Americans because it sees us as human beings, while it sees Muslims as bloodthirsty, slobbering animals.
