Jimmy Carter's foreign policy was a soothing elixir to the left brewed from equal parts of appeasement and naivite. The Arab world certainly approved because it was a clear path to the destruction of Israel. What they could not win on the battlefield of '56, '67 and '73 they could win at the bargaining table with Jimmy Carter. His weakness encouraged the Soviets to invade Afghanistan, the Vietnamese to rape Cambodia, the Iranians to fall under Islamic fascism and countless other murderous thugs in Africa and Central America to grab for power when America was not willing to stand up. His legacy is failure and shame.

Jimmy Carter, as a matter of fact, was the ONLY american president who has his head screwed on straight. He was the first to win Arab approval (not something common at all) and if our presidents followed his footsteps, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would have been solved decades ago, rather than having a one-sided, biased government. Bush's roadmap to peace has been respected (and accepted) by hamas, it is Israel that hasn't stopped the settlement building.

"I much prefer President Bush’s strategy where you annihilate terrorists before they can terrorize people." You know nothing about annihilating anyone, Gary. You are 50 year old man who NEVER served in the U.S. Military. Big talk from a man who says: "In the end, I do see voter turnout being down somewhat from before but not nearly enough to change the balance of power in either house of Congress" You are not worried but that does not mean the rest of us are not.

"Those quotes show why Carter rightfully deserves the recognition of being the worst foreign policy president in American history." Actually, President George Bush is giving him a run for his money. Here is an intelligent quote from our "Conservative" President: "They misunderestimated me"
