AB(DN)C Tracking CIA “Witchhunt”
AB(DN)C’s Brian Ross is getting blasted for his latest article, titled “EXCLUSIVE: Is CIA Leak Probe a ‘Witch Hunt’?” Here’s a glimpse into the article:
According to people familiar with the Goss e-mail, sent in late January and classified [as] secret, the CIA director warned that any CIA officer deemed suspect by the agency’s Office of Security and its Counter Intelligence Center (which handles internal affairs) could be subjected to an unscheduled lie detector test. CIA personnel are subjected to polygraphs at regular intervals in their careers, but one former intelligence officer called the new warning a “witch hunt.”
People leak information about the NSA intercept program that’s protecting Americans from terrorists and the Agenda Media asks if stopping the leakers is a witchhunt. But when Scooter Libby isn’t even accused of leaking the name of a KNOWN CIA agent and they’re over that like liberty itself is endangered.
That’s the epitome of the Agenda Media’s double standard. The truth is that it’s a witchhunt if someone from the Bush Administration tries cleaning up the CIA but it’s noble to give evidence that tars an innocent man.
Nevermind that Porter Goss blamed “a very small number of people” and that these lie detector tests would be done only if someone was suspected of leaking classified information to the Agenda Media. Nevermind that this classified information pertains to programs that are keeping us safe.
That’s of no interest to AB(DN)C or others in the Agenda Media. All that matters is that they’re able to spin the information to villainize the Bush Administration.
