California Residents Must Recycle Electronic Waste
And we’re not talking about the DailyKos.
“If you live in California, don’t even think of tossing that obsolete cellphone, dead laptop or archaic printer into the trash. New state laws that go into effect next month require that all electronic waste be recycled, rather than dumped in the trash and shipped to landfills.”

That’s a good law. I fully support it.

I sure don’t agree with paying a recycle fee for a brand new television Does that mean the store keeps the fee or does the state. I live 50 miles from reno nevada if that is the case I will do my shopping in reno and save eight dollars per tv. Also the state charges a fee for glass and plastic and cans but we have no one thatr will pay to recycle these except aluminum cans so why should I save them I throw them in the trash. yet I got charges a 5 cent fee that is never returned to the consumer
