I know there are liberals who read this blog, but due to the unpopularity if this ( its now 61%) are keeping quiet until its finally stuffed up our ass.

Id just like for one of them to tell us when, since Diocletion set the price of bread in Rome, has price any government price control worked to keep down costs, other than by creating a black market?

There's no such thing as a "free lunch." When the administration says it's going to lower costs for the average policy, what it means is we will all pay for everyone else' insurance, which doesn't "lower the cost" one cent but in fact will put pressure on the provider (eventually the government itself) to raise the premiums.

If the administration were truly interested in lowering the cost of health care, they would have put significant provisions in their proposals to do so. They didn't, they won't, and it doesn't.

If the administration were interested in the truth, they would be up front about what the Medicare cutbacks are all about, and that is to shorten the lifespan of the average American on Medicare, to contain end-of-life costs. The party of death takes yet one more step toward their particular vision of Utopia.
