Civil Rights Leader vs. A Wannabe

This video of Juan Williams and Bill O’Reilly ridiculing Dr. Boyce Watkins’ remarks is must viewing:

In my opinion, Dr. Watkins is a parasite who’s living off of the virtuous, positive movement that Dr. Martin Luther King started. Dr. Watkins doesn’t have a bit of moral standing after calling Juan Williams a “happy negro”. Dr. Watkins doesn’t have the moral right to criticize Juan Williams about anything.

Juan Williams is a man for whom the Civil Rights Movement is deeply personal. Anyone who’s paid attention to Juan Williams knows that he’s a proud man who’s been inspired by the Civil Rights Movement that Dr. Martin Luther King gave his life for. Anyone who’s paid attention to Juan Williams knows about his appreciation for Justice Thurgood Marshall.

I’d further state that Bill Cosby and Juan Williams better represent the type of ideals that Dr. King espoused. Let’s also include Rep. John Lewis in that group, too. These men are the type of men that represent the best that the Civil Rights Movement had to offer. They are the real leaders, not charlatans like Boyce Watkins.

I’d stongly recommend that everyone buy and read these books if you haven’t already done so:

Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary
Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years, 1954-1965

These are the things that bring truth to our door. FOX News, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and the hosts of others. Putting the Dems to task is what will save this country. Dems have to be criticized routinely and the above are the voices we have in knowing the truth.
Thank God for ‘conservatism’ and the people willing to take it one step further. I congratulate you all!!

I work for Dr. Watkins. He has a response video to O’Reilly (Bill spent his entire show talking about Dr. Watkins) on Youtube at this link: http://www.youtube.com/blueboymedia.

Dr. Watkins feels that individuals like Juan should embrace personal responsibility by teaching white America to take responsibility for their role in the creation of racial inequality. Dr. Watkins’ books “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about College” and “What if George Bush were a Black Man?” feature messages of self-reliance among people of color and the value of education. The difference is that he is also courageous enough to confront ALL of America for it’s role in the creation of inequality, rather than simply taking the cowardly disposition of placing 100% of the blame on the black community.

White Supremacy is when you think that whites are doing better than blacks because blacks engage in some sort of cultural inferiority. That is the message that O’Reilly transmits, and it’s the one that Williams Supports. Hence, Williams sits in the role of the “Happy Negro” on the porch, smiling when his boss wants more ice tea. It would take a man to confront O’Reilly on his racism, and Williams is not that man.

    Sincerely,
    Mathew Couch

Sir, the first sentence of your last paragraph made no sense.

And my second thought is, you are engaging in black racism. Go back, look at your unwritten assumptions, and then tell me you are not engaged in a racist smear.

And while you are at it, maybe you could respond to John Edwards spoken assessment that all young black people are criminals? Where is your outrage about that?
