Remember Ronnie

Ronald Reagan
February 6, 1911 - June 5, 2004
TODAY marks two years since the greatest President in modern history left this world. Ronald Reagan, the man who re-energized American Democracy, lowered taxes, dramatically boosted our economy, and spread democracy to all parts of the globe died two years ago today.
I was born in 1981, and was not old enough to recognize his merits while in office. I do, however, remember the day that I first saw the berlin wall coming down. I remember watching on TV as President Reagan said “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall,” and while I didn’t know what these things really meant, as I got older, and understood the world we lived in, I was proud to know that he had been my President. This courage, as well as his erudite fiscal policies helped to make me the Republican I am today, and the conservative I will always be.
Ronald Reagan lived longer than any other U.S. president, but I still say that he left us too young. Rest in peace, Ronnie, and know that we are thinking of you today.

He is without a doubt the best President the United States ever had in my lifetime.

How ironic that Ronald Reagan died on the anniversary of the first reporting of AIDS.
