Polling: The Greatest Americans
As a reaction to the Discovery Channel’s “Top 100″ (which includes folks like John Edwards, Brett Favre and Michael Jackson), bloggers are “taking it to the street” (via the web) and offering their own polling challenge — featuring personalities slightly more historically prolific than the aforementioned.
Announcing the launch of their poll, The Daily Blitz writes: “This is modeled after the Discovery Channel national poll but the key difference is that my starting 100 doesn’t include luminaries like Madonna, Michael Moore, Tom Cruise and Dr. Phil (in fact, 61 of my initial top 100 don’t appear in the Discovery Channel poll).”
