A Raisin To Smile…
Dr. Gregory P. Cole at FullosseousFlap’s Dental Blog (that’s a mouthful) reports: “Phytochemicals found in raisins help fight the bacteria that cause tooth decay and gum disease, said Dr. Christine Wu, professor and associate dean for research at the UIC College of Dentistry and lead author of the study. Phytochemicals are compounds found in higher plants.”
And, no, eating them in candy bars probably doesn’t work the same. Sorry, kids.
