She said “McClellan did not say definitively the surge principles would not work in Afghanistan”, meaning she question his answer. What’s wrong with Hansel’s head? “You can’t judge a VP candidate by one-liners.”

That’s all these sham debates are. A biased reporter (in all of them) poses a hypothetical question and each candidate is expected to deliver a one-liner. Then we’re supposed to judge the candidates competency based on the one-liner and disregard their track records or lack thereof.

Then that gets to James’ comment… What difference does it make if one watches or not. The popular notion is that we’re supposed to judge their words and not their deeds.

I stopped reading after this “I didn’t watch the debate.” Then don’t blog about it. And if you merely listened to it, you still shouldn’t be blogging about it because as we know from 1960 debates T.V is the deciding factor. Having faith in your parties candidate is fine but being willfully ignorant to the point where you can’t set aside the time to watch the debate yet blindly trash the opponent is disgraceful.

You can’t judge a VP candidate by one-liners. And what is it with all these bloggers saying how great Palin was without actually having seen the debate themselves??? Come on. You’re speaking out for the silent majority? If you can’t take the time to watch the debate, then you should be silent, too.
