Those that are in the natural sciences, engineering, medicine, and business schools are by and large pretty good. He was referring mainly, I think, to his own colleagues in liberal arts and social sciences.

T.A. - The variation I was taught was, "Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't do either are administrators."

Now, I know some fine teachers, but all told, they are a sad lot. Especially the ones who are real believers in the godliness of the national unions and all their socialist garbage crappers.

Reminds me of something a professor of mine at Ohio Univ. said about college faculties more years ago than I care to admit;

"Those who can't teach, do; those who can, write books; and those who can do neither become Deans."

La Guardia had the right idea. When a nazi wanted to visit the city in 1938 he obliged with protection - from every Jewish volunteer he could get from the police force, and let the nazi know it.

I'm real sure Napoleon Hitler 2 would feel safe with a Jewish guard. After all, they've kicked the Arabs' butts all over the place since 1948, and obviously are good at military tactics and protection.

And Mr. Bollinger needs to get something he obviously hasn't had since we were in high school together: a good, deep and fresh breath of reality. He is an effete intellectual without a clue about the real world, how it operates or the law of unintended consequences.

BTW: MoveOn claims to have "3.3 million members"...which must include ME, even though...the only thing I did to "join" was click on a link 4 years ago to see a famous political parody video their site was mirroring. I have given them ZERO dollars; I will give them ZERO dollars in the future; the only use I have for their constant emails is "entertainment value" (when I'm desperate for a laugh). So, the next time they boast about their 7-figure loyal following...remember me and the countless others like me..."The One-Click 'Air Members'" of MoveOn.org!

The radical left in this country has given some hope to the conservative right. Even with the massive level of dissatisfaction with Republicans if they can make solid gains in Iraq the left will be smacked down in 2008. America loves come from behind winners not whinners.
Watch the lefty msm go into a frenzy of fake reporting to hide the gains made in Iraq.

Mr. Pariser and his wife/girlfriend/partner (whatever term they use in Berkeley) are radical leftists. Anyone from Berkeley is pretty much radical leftist. So why is this surprising?
I live 100 miles south of the Bay Area and I have refused to visit or do business there solely because of the 'righteous' attitudes and their lack of morality. Americans are waking up.
I bel;ieve these people have b een protesting since the '70's. Don't you think it's time to get a life. The 70's ended 30 years ago. Grow up.

Maybe somebody needs to remind this jerk (Ahmadinajad, not the jerk that runs Columbia) that New York, not Tel Aviv, is the world's largest Jewish city.

Anyway, looks like New Yorkers and some students at Columbia have more balls then either their Mayor or Bush have, and are planning their own receptions. Come to think of it, thats probably better he learn how Americans feel about him directly from he people anyway.

Perhaps Pariser can get together with Mr. "Free Speech" Bollinger at Columbia and figure out how to convince the public how utterly ignorant they are because they don't believe that gem of free speech they offered about Petraeus. After all, inviting Ahmadinejad to Columbia showed how inclusive the university is because the illustrious leader of Iran simply has to be considered a conservative by Columbia standards. And he really is. He's as nazi as any leftist.
