The Construction Continues

The Azady Police Station has expanded its guardhouse, received a new entry gate, covered parking for nine vehicles, and undergone a complete renovation of the interior of the building to include new doors, windows, restrooms, heating and air conditioning units, paint, floor tile, lighting, roofing, and water supply. These changes will enhance the working conditions for the police officers working there, and, by extension, make the people within the community of 1.5 million safer. By Claude D. McKinney

Reconstruction Continues…Al Anbar

Construction started on seven Water projects in the Al Anbar Governorate that will supply fresh water to more than 18,000 Iraqi residents in Hit, Al Rayat, and Ramadi Districts. The projects range from $139K to $169K, and include the installation of compact water units with capabilities from 1,200 to 2,400 m3/day and all accessories. In the Al Anbar Governorate, there are 57 Public Works & Water projects programmed, with 23 completed, or 40 percent.

Baghdad
Work is completed on the Abu Ghraib Water Reservoir, Abu Ghraib, Baghdad Province. The repairs restore proper potable water to over 100,000 residents for the East and West Abu Ghraib area of Baghdad and the Fallujah Area. Before refurbishment, the facility ran at less than 50 percent capacity due to low water feed from Shuala reservoir, poor equipment, and conditions within the site. In the Baghdad Governorate, there are 50 Public Works & Water projects programmed, with 22 completed or 44 percent.
