Approximately 70% of the American people want out of Iraq, and no posturing and needling by McSame or any republican will change that fact. I certainly hope that Obama does not fall for McSame’s “come to Iraq” challenge, risking our troops lives as they are compelled to protect senators who bumble their way through open markets (how many troops did McSame need on one of his wasteful trips through Baghdad? 150?)

Of course, we can dissect every word that comes from Sen. Obama’s mouth in an effort to catch him in slight conflicts and discrepancies, and I guess that is a good pastime for the rightwingnuts (so please, continue). Sen. Obama can swat the pesky gnats on the right away with as little effort as this kerfuffle, and get on with winning the race and shortly, governing.

And so, to answer Gary Gross’ question, if Sen. Obama made a mistake regarding his uncle or grandfather and their service to this nation, so be it. It neither detracts from their service nor reflects poorly on Sen. Obama, but rather, serves to show that the right will stoop to new lows (not that that is a surprise) in an effort to discredit the Democratic nominee-in-waiting. Good try; perhaps you could come up with something substantive?

To the dirtbag-naming-brigade, what does Margaret Sanger have to do with Sen. Obama? The last I checked, Sanger was not in the first family tree (following my line of reasoning vis-a-vis Prescott Bush), and although she had some far-out ideas regarding eugenics and forced sterilizations, these tenets are as far from today’s abortion argument as possible. Try explaining why Sen. Obama sais this in a 2002 speech:

My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton’s army.
