Baghdad Offensive Begins
The AP is reporting that the anticipated Iraqi-American offensive in Baghdad has started:
Baghdad’s streets were electric with tension Wednesday as U.S. officials confirmed the new security operation was under way. U.S. armor rushed through streets, and Iraqi armored personnel carriers guarded bridges and major intersections. New coils of barbed-wire and blast barriers marked checkpoints that caused traffic bottlenecks. U.S. Apache helicopters whipped the air over parts of the capital where they hadn’t been seen before.
Democrats will be holding their breath while this offensive is underway. If this offensive dramatically decreases the violence, then their presidential hopefuls will have a difficult fight to convince voters that they’re pro-victory. Democrats are invested in defeat. I don’t say that with any joy. I don’t say that simply because I disagree with Democrats philosophically. I say that because their actions consistently tell what they believe.
It isn’t accident that John Murtha has advocated abandoning the Iraqi patriots. It isn’t accident that every major Democrat seeking the presidential nomination has renounced their vote on the war. It isn’t accident that they’re offering up resolutions that don’t have defeating the terrorists as their first priority.

You give the Democrats far too much credit for their efforts. Remember, these are the people who couldn’t get a non-binding resolution passed in the Senate, despite the fact that something like 70% of the country is against the war. How weak and worthless is that?
And, you are forgetting about Hilary. She has not repudiated her vote, nor is she making noises that she’d be anything but a hawk.
This war remains squarely in the Republican’s pervue, even in the minority. To pull of the filibuster given the hollering about it when the Dems were threatening(!) is nothing less than genius.
No, this is George Bush’s war and legacy. Bush is fond of saying it will take historians years to understand his legacy, compaing himself to Truman, Eisenhower, even Lincoln…
Not the way things look today.

So 66% of the country was either against or had no comment for the American Revolution - so what is your point? We do not live in a democracy. Your vote counts little. There are people over in Iraq that have got new freedom, and are not scared that some fascist leader like Saddam is breathing down their necks.
Where was the Democrat outrage when Clinton bombed Kosovo and 10,000 + innocent people got killed? That was a phony war by the leader of the democrats.

Once you have attached the balls with the rubber sleeves, centralise the hub. On initial helicopter flights its likely that ‘awkward’ landings may cause the balls to fly off, putting a drop of super glue on the outer rubber sleeves should prevent this.
