And Then What?
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, AKA the Dim-witted Duo, along with Congressional Democrats, are promising to capture bin Laden, a neat trick if they could pull it off.
Overall, the Democratic position paper attempts to make the case that the Bush administration’s “inadequate planning and incompetent policies have failed to make Americas as safe as we should be.” It covers party policy positions on homeland security, the war on terror, the military, Iraq and energy security, but it contains many of the same proposals Democrats have offered over the past year. The platform also lacks specific details of how Democrats plan to capture bin Laden, the al-Qaida mastermind who has evaded U.S. forces in the more than four years since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
They don’t offer specifics on how to capture bin Laden. Why am I not shocked and amazed? Might it be because I can’t get Kerry’s ‘I’ve got a plan’ mantra out of my head? Promising bin Laden’s capture sounds like a fine plan but why should we have any confidence in it? Furthermore, would troop re-deployments be required? If so, where would the troops come from? Would that affect our ability to finish the war in Iraq?
“The Democrats are going to take back the security issue,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
How you gonna do that, Chuckie? By replaying Reid’s “We just killed the Patriot Act” speech on TV each week? Or by replaying Howard Dean’s “We can’t win in Iraq” speech? Or would you replay John Murtha’s “immediate redeployment” speech? Or Murtha’s “Our boys are living hand to mouth” speech? That’s quite a list of golden oldies to choose from, isn’t it Chuckie?
I’m just not certain it’s a persuasive list of golden oldies, at least it isn’t positive persuasion for Democrats.
“We’re uniting behind a national security agenda that is tough and smart and will provide the real security George Bush has promised but failed to deliver,” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, (D-NV), said in remarks prepared for delivery Wednesday. His counterpart in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA), said the Democrats are offering a new direction, “one that is strong and smart, which understands the challenges America faces in a post 9/11 world, and one that demonstrates that Democrats are the party of real national security.”
If we were playing a word association game, strong and smart are the least likely words I’d use to describe Democrats’ foreign policy. If you remember the Boston convention, then you’ll remember that this is just a reprise of that convention’s theme. It’s all empty rhetoric and no meat to the plans. That’s what you should expect from this bunch, though.
One last thing: If they capture bin Laden, then what’s the next step in winning the GWOT?

This is really great news! The Dims making the military decisions without having attended War school or military academies! What a great idea.
Hopefully we will provide full body armor for General Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry in their pursuit of OBM in the mountains. When they bag him, who will claim responsibility for the actual kill?

Sorry but I failed to mention Generals Murta, Dean, Moore and Streisand! If they can’t track him who can. W wasting all that time using Seals when the A team sits at home.
The claim for the kill should belong to Fake war hero John! Now we know why Slick passed when OBM was given him on a platter.

Will High Court Slash Bush’s Powers?

More hot air from the Dems. Another problem that they are going to have to face is the tough stand they are taking on millions of Cargo containers coming into the country while at the same time planning to permit 12 million illegals become legal without any serious due process, enouraging even more illegals to run across the boarder in hope of becoming legal residents.

I would love to see Chucky Cheese’s SAT score (did he really graduate from high school?) or I.Q. test score. I’d be absolutely amazed if it was higher than sub-average. The guy has no thought process at all!
Dingy Harry is doing everything he can to destroy the donkey party. I wish him well in that venture.
Nancy P has a hard time keeping a single train of thought. ADD? She seems to be all over the map no matter what she thinks she’s talking about.
One has to allow BS (the singer?) to hit discordant notes. After all, if she hit the right notes all the time, she’d be perfect, and I gotta tell you, I don’t think she is close to that.
Frenchy, why would anyone believe anything that comes out of his mouth, any more than one would believe anything Billy Bub says?
And “Big John” Murtha? Why, he’s a real hero, don’tcha know? He got himself all shot up in a war he didn’t believe in just so he could come back and let us all know how evil war is (see the phrase, “War is Hell”, from WWII - how original of the guy). Oh, wait, was it really him that got all shot up? Oh, yeah, it was the guy asking why Murtha hated this country so much. Sorry ’bout that.
The only plan the donkeys have is to retake the WH, at whatever cost to the country. I would doubt anyone listed in the post could be shown a map and point out where Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iraq is, so why should I believe they’re on to UBL?

If you give Pelosi body armor, make sure she has a matching bag and shoes. Seriously, once again the Dems have said “We’re going to do what Bush is doing but BETTER!”. Yeah. Right. Sure you are. They’ll keep this up for a couple of weeks, and then like “culture of corruption”, and “incompetence”, it’ll fade away. By November they’ll be yapping about health care, the economy, and more money for teachers’ unions.
