Air Time for Democrats

GatewayPundit has a terrific post covering the GOPs upcoming advertising campaign.

To clarify things for the American people,” quips Jim Hoft, “Republicans have generously decided to air television ads of Democrats explaining their position on the war,… or quite possibly, the variety of positions that certain Democrats have held on the war!

The truth hurts.

Needless to say, Dems are none to happy about this. Senator Leader Harry Reid, in particular.

In Nevada, the television ad will focus on the Senate Democratic Leader. The spot accuses the Nevada Senator of flip-flopping, using his own words against him. How outrageous!

Reid responds by accusing Republicans of playing politics with his own words — and the war. Read his remarks from the Senate floor last week.

Harry Reid’s rhetoric is despicable and shameless. Unable to rally behind America’s noble efforts in the Middle East, it’s the Dems who decided to play politics with war, rewrite the history of their own words, and mislead the public which is reflected in the polls.

And when the Republicans decide to let the public know the truth — by doing nothing more than running videos of prior remarks made by Democrats, that is somehow unacceptable.

America has never been more partisan, and the Democratic leadership is resorting to any means to tear down President Bush. What they fear most is that he’ll go down in history as the man who introduced democracy to the middle east, while history will record their hero, Slick Willie, as a footnote of a man who simply enjoyed having someone go down.

If the Republicans are really going to do this, then I say, it’s about time. They’ve been too silent and timid for too long.
