A Special Talent
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi issued a statement today showing that she shares a special talent with other Democratic leaders: the ability to sound like a complete moron.
Here’s today’s example of that special talent:
“President Bush missed a critical opportunity today to explain why, more than four years after the 9/11 attacks, the American people are not as safe as they should be. The 9/11 Commission’s final report card indicted the continued failure by the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress to meet the security needs of our nation and make Americans safer.
———-
But clearly, as evidence by the 9/11 Commission’s failing grades, it is not working. The American people deserve and expect that all elected officials will protect and keep America secure while respecting our Constitution and system of checks and balances.”– Press release from Rep. Pelosi office via USNewswire
Does this woman have a clue? In case she hasn’t noticed, people voted for the President because they trusted him, especially on the issue of national security. While Democrats’ stance on homeland security is to hire lots of first responders to clean up in the aftermath of another 9/11-type attack, President Bush is destroying terrorists before they can leave their homelands while installing democracies that are starting to fight the terrorists.
As for the 9/11 Commission giving grades, who cares? They’ve been discredited all across the right blogosphere. They didn’t take Able Danger seriously. Now Gen. Michael Hayden tells us that, “had the NSA’s surveillance program “been in effect prior to 9/11, it is my professional judgment that we would have detected some of the al-Qaida operatives in the United States.” For the Pelosi’s of the world, the NSA wiretap program used the same techniques as Able Danger did.
It seems to me that if we intercept communications between AQ and their terrorist operatives here in the U.S., that makes us alot safer. But that’s too straight-forward for liberals to understand.
That’s their special gift, I guess.

Here’s a quick question to that moron of questionable moral character, Nancy Pelosi.
Madam Pelosi– why was Jamie Gorelick, the Clintonian architect of the wall between the FBI and the American intelligence agencies, included as a member of the 9/11 Commission? The only logical answer is that the Clinton Administration by word and by action did not take terrorism seriously and was desperate to cover its bloody tracks. Neither the Clintonians nor you, Madam Pelosi, have anything to contribute to this discussion!!!
