Media Spin of Toledo Riots
“White Supremacists Riot in Toledo, Ohio” reads the AP’s headline, and promoted by the major networks. But that (pardon the pun) colors the story inaccurately.
Michelle Malkin sets the record straight, with help from the latest clever creation by Cox & Forkum. Their cartoon nails the salient points of the news, as always.
LeShaun Fosset breaks it down like this:
“Rather than to blame the real culprits who took part in most of the violence in Toledo yesterday, residents are blaming the neo-nazi assholes who marched there and that the nazis had no right to march.
But the thing is that most of the people who were rioting were black, and there were tearing up their own shit.
Well, here’s a newsflash. We have something in this nation call freedom of speech, and it’s for everyone, no matter how backwards or retarded you may be. You may disagree with something someone is saying, but they have every right to say it, whether you like it or not.
For example, I may take offense to some ass calling me a nigger, but that does not give me the right to act in a violent manner or burn, slash and loot my own neighborhood. Even though I may be hurt by such comments, I have the right to fire back, but my best course of action is to simply ignore the comments of an ignornant person.”
Always good advice.

Standard Mischief just IMed me about this ABC news headline: White Supremacists Riot in Toledo, Ohio. He was irked and wondering whether ABC was going to apologize to the Nazis because it was not the white supremacists who were rioting,
