Bush Didn’t Lie

That’s what Newsmax is reporting in this article. Of course, that’s old news to anyone reading the Right Blogosphere. Here’s what Newsmax is saying:

Newly translated Iraqi documents from Saddam Hussein’s regime show that President Bush was factually accurate when he told the nation in his 2003 State of the Union Address that Iraq had recently sought uranium from Africa. Bush’s 16-word statement had formed the basis for the claim adopted by administration critics that “Bush lied” about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction programs.
But according to the Washington Times today, an unnamed U.S. official reports that “newly translated Iraqi documents…tell of Saddam seeking uranium from Africa in the mid-1990s.” The documents also speak of burying prohibited missiles, a government official familiar with the declassification process told the paper.

This finally gives us proof that should, but won’t, shut the President’s critics up. Unfortunately, the truth means little to the President’s critics. After all, they’ve ignored the 9/11 Commission’s report that said that there was contact between Saddam’s government and UBL; they’ve ignored FactCheck.org’s debunking of what I call the ‘16 Words Myth’ and they’ve ignored the fact that insurgents are fighting the terrorists. But what’s new?

The new documents strongly suggest, however, that Wilson was wrong, and that the “Bush lied” mantra adopted by most Democrats since Wilson first made his complaint has been based on bogus information. Confirmation on African uranium claim offered by Iraqi documents may be just the tip of the iceberg.

Of course, we won’t find out about this in the Agenda Media unless a Democrat is elected to the White House. Then it’ll become front page headlines. The Agenda Media have a great hatred of President Bush which prevents them from telling the truth.

Whatever happened to “the public’s right to know”?
