Evidently, not people who go to work and care about business.
No surprise. That leaves subversives and hippie activists. Which basically describes most of the people who work for or are politically active in the City. By contrast, read comments from those actually adding to the GDP.
The San Francisco Business Times is taking a poll:
“The San Francisco school board has decided to march the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps out of town. San Francisco Unified high school students will no longer be allowed to take part in the voluntary activity — as 1,625 students are this year. The board voted to eliminate the program over two years and try to replace it* with other activities. JROTC opponents said the vote is a way to protest militarism and the U.S. military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy barring openly gay people from serving.
Do you agree that JROTC doesn’t belong in San Francisco high schools?” (emphasis ours)

Might be funny if it weren’t so close to the truth…

We will replace JROTC money with how to pick one’s noze, walk around linp-wristed and classes on American founder bashing.

The truly typical aspect to all of this is that the school board voted to kill the program - but has no idea what to replace it with. They now want to “study the issue” and come back with recommendations.
Shouldn’t they have done that BEFORE the vote? Oh, I am sorry - logic and rational thinking have no place in SF politics.
