“W” Stands For Waffle
The rhetoric for closing Guantanamo is picking up, and pressure is being applied to the administration. So what say W?
Michelle Malkin reports: “At his May 31st press conference, President Bush’s response to reckless claims about Guantanamo Bay was inadequate and superficial at best.
Unfortunately, that performance was Reaganesque compared to W.’s interview last night with FNC’s Neil Cavuto.”
She provides a partial transcript, with some of her comments interjected. She nails it.
Proving that leading conservatives in the blogosphere will criticize the President when he misses the mark, Malkin makes the case: Bush needs to continue standing tall, and don’t give in to the liberal rhetoric. Once you do, it’s only downhill.
She provides a list of today’s news articles already spinning the story. An excellent post.
