“Reinvigorated Anti-War Movement”?
Reuters is reporting that Cindy “Mother” Sheehan has returned to Crawford to reconnect with her anti-war allies. The curious thing is that Reuters reports this fact with a bit more gusto than I just did. Here’s the opening paragraph of their article:
The fallen soldier’s mother whose August vigil near President Bush’s ranch reinvigorated the anti-war movement returned to Texas to resume her protest Thursday as the president celebrated Thanksgiving a few miles away.
“I feel happy to be back here with all my friends…but I’m heartbroken that we have to be here again,” Cindy Sheehan said as she arrived at an airport in nearby Waco. “We will keep pressing and we won’t give up until our troops are brought home.”
“Reinvigorated the anti-war movement”? Here’s how they reported the arrests of career diplomat Ann Wright: “A dozen war protesters including Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers, were arrested Wednesday for setting up camp near President Bush’s ranch in defiance of new local bans on roadside camping and parking.”
In today’s article, it notes that “more than 100 war protesters ate a traditional Iraqi meal, salmon, lentils and rice with almonds, saying they wanted to call attention to the civilians killed in the war. More than 2,100 U.S. soldiers have also died since the war began in March 2003. “It’s significant because the people of Iraq are suffering under our occupation, and for people in America it’s business as usual stuffing themselves on fat turkeys,” said Tammara Rosenleaf, whose husband is an Army soldier to be deployed in a few weeks. “We in good conscience cannot behave that way while our troops are over there.”
A dozen protesters arrested? A hundred protesters eating a meal that, frankly, sounds awfully bland? And the Agenda Media would have you believe that this is a “reinvigorated” anti-war movement? Let’s get serious here.
The average garage sale attracts more people than that. A Little League game attracts more than that. You’ll never hear people talking in terms of “a reinvigorated garage sale industry” or a “reinvigorated Little League” if that’s the attention they attract. But let someone start talking negatively about President Bush and it’s “a reinvigorated” anti-war movement or “a reinvigorated Democratic Party. That’s what happens when the Agenda Media ‘reports’ things based on subjective standards.
That isn’t reporting. It isn’t even news analysis. It’s just biased coverage of events.

Salmon? Since when has salmon been a traditional Iraqi meal? Just one more line of liberal BS in a longer line of liberal trash!
