Praise Allah for Defeat in Iraq!
Democrats say: “The US must withdraw from a defeat in Iraq,” “Bush is a liar” and “Defeat in Iraq is unavoidable.”
Republicans say: “A defeat in Iraq is a victory for the terrorists.”
Who agrees with both?
Osama bin Laden’s second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri:
“I congratulate my nation and bless Islam’s victory in Iraq.”
“Oh my Muslim brothers, I told you more than a year ago that the pullout of America’s troops from Iraq would be a matter of time and Americans are now begging to leave and negotiate with the mujahidin.
“Bush, the liar, was forced to announce in November 2005 that he would withdraw his troops from Iraq.
“Since Bush is addicted to lying, he justified his withdrawal by saying that Iraqi forces have become well-trained. But he did not set a timetable for the pullout.
“If your forces with all its aircraft, missiles, tanks and fleets are moaning, bleeding and looking for an escape from Iraq, then will the hypocrites, conspirators, infidels [the Iraqi government] resist what the ‘greatest power in the world’ has failed to resist?”
“The timetable of withdrawal was set a long time ago and Bush, you must admit that you have been defeated in Iraq as you have been defeated in Afghanistan and will be shortly defeated in Palestine if Allah’s willing.”
“My Muslim nation, you will not enjoy free elections, protected sanctity, governments which are being called to account by the people and a respectable judiciary unless you are free from the crusader-Zionist occupation and the corrupted governments, and this will not be fulfilled but with Jihad.”
Wow, that reads like a speech from a Cindy Sheehan rally or an Howard Dean interview. Is there any doubt that “immediate redeployment (withdrawal)” of US troops from Iraq is a victory for the terrorists? This is why Democrats demagoguery is treasonous.

Abramoff, DeLay, And Alito
Today I have Three Topics that I will discuss, obviously they are about Abramoff, DeLay, And Alito; and how liberal extremists are behind all of them or are spinning it in such a way that we need to recant their excalamations for them.

The Murtha/Moran Duo Get Slam Dunked
California Conservative brings us the speech from al-Qaeda’s second in command al-Zawahiri, which he says sounds confusingly similar to something he would hear from an interview with a Democratic leader (in bold)

My fellow Conservatives! STOP accusing Democrats of being friendly to terrorists. This will get us nowhere. We must accept the fact that this war is helping to ruin our Republican Party. 2006 is here! We have as much of a chance of winning the “War on Terrorism” as we do of winning the “War on Drugs”… Saudis attacked us on 9/11 and President Bush holds the hand of a Islamic extremist Saudi “Prince” leader soon after. Iran and North Korea are the real threat. Invading Iraq was a mistake.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A Black Hawk helicopter believed to be carrying 12 people has crashed in northern Iraq, and all aboard were killed, the U.S. military said Sunday

Benn, you’ve been outted. I wonder who you voted for in the last election? Stop with the “My fellow Republican” bit. Are you perhaps this guy?
In fact, your excitement over reporting the latest US casualities is sickening. Why else would you post them?
Take a history lesson. There are casualities in every war. This war has one of the, if not the, lowest casualty rates of any US war (aside from the 1st Gulf War).
Jerk.

“Outed” obviously you have me mixed up with a man named Mr. Gannon. I am a Republican who did not vote for President Bush. Some Republicans are smarter than others, Proctor. I don’t need a history lesson from a woman who never served. Bitch.

Now, now. It’s 1 for 1, and game over. Let’s not get ad hominem on each other.
Amy, it’s obvious that Benn is deeply concerned about America achieving success in Iraq and establishing a cornerstone of democracy in the middle east. The news of the Black Hawk down (which he shared with us) is just as tragic as it was when they went down in Mogadishu.
Benn, you also wrote: “Iran and North Korea are the real threat. Invading Iraq was a mistake.”
Just as soon as we’re done in Iraq, maybe we’ll consider how to deal with the others. And it’s good to know we can count on your full support.
January 9th, 2006 at 10:13 am
You bet, I support the cause as I did when I served. North Korea and Iran are the serious enemies. Iraq was contained and was not a nuclear threat. I feel that our military is bogged down in Iraq while North Korea and Iran get stronger and stronger. I feel the President made a huge mistake and I will not be silenced or be accused by an Army wife of being a liar. No matter how many annoying e-mails she has sent my way. Grow up, Amy! All Republicans do not have to think exactly alike.
January 9th, 2006 at 11:06 am
Benn, first, forgive the “jerk” comment. Shouldn’t have said that.
I suspected, you did not vote for Pres. Bush. I won’t bother to question your credentials or your political leanings.
Annoying e-mails? I have no idea how to contact you, Mr. Benn, nor would I want to. I think you have me confused with a figment of your imagination. I never pester people. Discussion is limited to this forum. Period.
I’m glad that all Republicans don’t think alike. Ours is a vibrant part of exclusivity.
True, I haven’t served in the military. I don’t believe women should be in the military, but that’s another issue. My husband is active duty and “we’ve” been in for 13 years. He served in Iraq for a year with the 82nd. My life is one dedicated to my family and country, quite literally. This doesn’t make my opinion any more valid than yours, sir, but I do think I’ve gathered quite a bit of evidence to support what I believe to be true.
Iraq was no nuclear threat? Explain this:

Here’s the accompanying story my husband tells of the nuclear mural behind Saddam’s main throne in his main palace in Baghdad.
Also, there’s this:

Saddam offers Osama asylum as he is on the run from the US
“Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has offered asylum to Osama bin Laden, who openly supports Iraq against the Western powers.”

More reasons why we’re in Iraq:
-12 years of Iraq firing at US Air Force planes in the No-Fly Zone (1991-2003).
-Saddam Hussein’s assassination attempt on George Bush Sr. in Kuwait in 1993. That would be considered an act of aggression.
-Saddam attacked Kuwait and Israel, both our allies.
-The U.N. refused to enforce it’s resolutions against Iraq and failed to make Saddam comply.
-Saddam paid $25000 to the families of terrorists who’d blow themselves up while killing as many Jews as possible. (Israel is an ally)
-Abu Musab al-Zarqawi sought medical attention in Baghdad in 2001 when he was injured in Afghanistan.
-WMD; whether or not he possessed them at the time we entered Iraq, he made everyone believe he did. My husband sat in a foxholes with his 82nd ABN buddies in Kuwait as Saddam threatened to use them against the troops if they entered. Of course, we know for a fact that he was a danger to his neighbors (attacks against Israel, Iran and Kuwait, 2 of whom are our allies). We also know for a fact that he used chemical weapons on his own people.
-President Bush said in his 2002 State of the Union address that who ever aided and abetted terrorists would be considered part of the “axis of evil” Pres. Bush said in his address to Congress immediately following 9/11, “Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated. (Applause.) ” That would be Democratic applause as well. Aside from the major reasons we went to war in Iraq, Saddam was a terrorist. He provoked a war with Iran that cost millions of lives and lasted 8 years (Sept. 22, 1980- Aug. 20, 1988).
If you wish to claim we provoked terrorism by being in Iraq, like with the London bombings, check these out:
1969 bombing in Milan and Rome, Italy?
-1970 hijacking of several large aircraft that were blown up in Jordan?
-1972 11 Israeli Olympic athletes murdered at Munich?
-1972 bombings by the IRA in Britain?
-1973 car bombing in Britain?
-1974 package bombing in Madras, India?
-1974 mechanical sabotage in Paris, France?
-1974 package bombing in Madrid, Spain?
-1979 Iranian Hostage crisis?
-1981 anthrax-contamination near a political conference in Britain by the “Dark Harvest Commandos”?
-1981 assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II?
-1981 assassination of Anwar Sadat, Egyptian President?
-1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut?
-1983 US Embassy bombing in Beirut?
-1986 Berlin nightclub bombing?
-1988 kidnapping and murder of William Higgins. U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel in Lebanon?
-1988 Pan American Airlines Flight 103 that was blown up over Lockerbie, Scotland, by Libyan terrorists? (all 259 people on board were killed)
-1989 bombing of UTA Flight 772 over Niger during a flight from Brazzaville to Paris? (all 170 persons aboard were killed)
-1991 Iraqi agents that planted bombs at the U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia’s home residence and at the USIS library in Manila?
-1993 World Trade Center bombing?
- 1993 attempted assassination of President Bush by Iraqi Agents in Kuwait?
-1993 assassination attempt of then Jordanian Crown Prince Abdullah?
-1995 Tokyo subway gassing?
-1995 assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin?
-1999 terrorist attacks in Spain by the ETA?
-1999/2000 four bombings of political party offices during the Spanish elections?
-2000 bombing of the USS Cole in the port of Aden in Yemen, killing 17 U.S. sailors?
-2002 Bali bombings?
Etc., etc., etc. This is only a small sampling of attacks that have happened, not mostly to the US, BEFORE March 20, 2003 when the US and allies entered Iraq.
Finally, Benn, I’m not calling you a liar, but I still doubt you’re a Republican whether you claim to be or not. Just my hunch whether. I won’t bring it up again.
Peace…

The chickenhawk argument is so passe. Both ways. After 21 years in the Army active duty, with five tours into the middle east, I’ve no more right to hold the opinions I hold on the Iraq War than does Juan Cole have a right to hold the ridiculous and completely wrong opinions he holds. Strategic insights are likely at the 3 and 4 star level for servicemembers, not at the level most of us serve.
Benn, it may be true that you “don’t need a history lesson from a woman who never served. Bitch.”. But if you think North Korea is getting “stronger and stronger”, you do need a better list of recommended readings on foreign affairs.
