Nancy Pelosi Blasts President Bush’s Handling of Hurricane Katrina
Better watch out: Pelosi’s hot air might be responsible for another natural disaster.
USAToday reports: “Congress’ top two Democrats furiously criticized the administration’s response to Hurricane Katrina on Wednesday, with Sen. Harry Reid demanding to know whether President Bush’s Texas vacation impeded relief efforts and Rep. Nancy Pelosi assailing the chief executive as “oblivious, in denial” about the difficulties.”
Pointing fingers is in full force, and it’s what Democrats do best. Meanwhile, Republicans are busy helping with the heavy lifting.
RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman weighs in:
“While countless Americans are pulling together to lend a helping hand, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are pointing fingers in a shameless effort to tear us apart.”

“Heavy lifting?” Yeah, I bet those golf clubs Bush was swinging, or those $4,000 shoes Condoleezza was buying instead of tackling the decimation of a major American city were REALLY heavy.

It’s unlikely that Bush was swinging any golf clubs in Crawford, TX in 100 degree heat. But we like your imagery.
As for “$4,000 shoes,” that’s a good one. Inventive. Absurd. Condi? If we’re talking shoes, you must be thinking Pelosi.
However, the premise of your comments is clear: class envy. Sorry you feel that way.

It is in character for the liberal democrats to use a tragic disaster such as Katrina to attack Bush for political gain. The human misery of Katrina is only political fodder for such despicable ultra-leftists as Pelosi who see such misery as propaganda images for their agenda

[...] Why does she think this? Because Pelosi and others said so. [...]
