Kennedy Touted Anti-Bush Spy Hoax
I’ve long mentioned that facts have little to do with Ted Kennedy’s diatribes. Now we have verifiable proof in the aftermath of his assertions that “a University of Massachusetts student who said officials from the Department of Homeland Security visited his home and repeatedly interrogated him after he tried to obtain a copy of Mao Tse-Tung’s “‘Little Red Book.’” Fittingly, his spokeswoman wouldn’t retract his comments made in a Boston Globe op-ed.
Asked if he shouldn’t have verified the incendiary account before citing it in print, Kennedy spokeswoman Laura Capps insisted to the Boston Globe: “Even if the assertion was a hoax, it did not detract from Kennedy’s broader point that the Bush administration has gone too far in engaging in surveillance.”
Based on what, you arrogant bureaucrat? The hubris and chutzpah in that comment is enormous. She should be ashamed to even try and justify Kennedy’s irresponsible statements, much less give what amounts to a moral equivalence rationalization for Kennedy’s reckless op-ed.
It’s shameful that the Agenda Media hasn’t seen fit to chastise Sen. Kennedy for his op-ed. It’s like they’re oblivious to the harm they’re doing to the liberal cause. Simply put, it’s obvious that they don’t realize that these diatribes strip them of their credibility. PERIOD.
As much as I criticize Kennedy’s and other moonbat Democrats, the reality is that I hope they keep trotting these idiots out so that others will understand that they can’t be trusted with the levers of power.

I hope those fat paychecks that Laura Capps takes home helps her sleep better at night. The “logic” used to generate that statement to the Boston Globe is so backward, it almost breaks my neck to read it.

Kennedy’s response is pretty typical of a liberal like Kennedy…even though the facts he used to support his opinion of this story are false his conclusion is still right.
In other words Kennedy thinks he shouldn’t have to defend his nutty positions so stop asking him questions.

Buckley F. Williams’ Predictions For 2006
