This is not the first time Kennedy has displayed this hypocrisy - recall that when Judge Alito was up for a position on the federal court of appeals, Kennedy supported him because of his “distinguished record.” He even said he looked forward to supporting him for that position. How can he berate Judge Alito now and sing such high praises then? I hope this doesn’t have anything to do with partisan politics but the fact that the Democrats controlled the Senate at the time is notable. Even still, I totally agree with Mr. Kennedy on one thing - Judge Alito does have a very distinguished record…

The hypocrtical nature of the entire confirmation hearing is so disappointing yet not surprising. I’m going to remaing optimistic and hope that the floor debate is a little more classy and relevant!

I know they figure things differently in Boston, The Cape and MA in general, but how on earth do you pay $100/year dues and not be a member? Was he just an “associate” or something?

No matter. Bottom line is he has spent, at $100/year, in excess of $5000 supporting a club that is at least as bad as CAP, and probably worse because it stoops to allow a Kennedy into its membership!

Oh, I forgot. He (wink, wink, nod, nod) isn’t a member.

I like his moronic comment i am not a member but i still pay my $100 dues. What a hypocrite. Then again its drunk all the time Kennedy who said it so why am i not surprised.

Kennedy is so hypocritical. How could he unrelentingly attack Alito over CAP when this was out there, not in his past, but the present? Maybe he will think twice before opening his mouth and cricizing other people. Naaaaah.
