It’s Okay To Be Racist If You’re Liberal
Just looked at Michelle Malkin’s page and found this:

This was posted on the liberal blog of Steve Gilliard but was pulled down after receiving thousands of complaints. It purports to represent Michael Steele the Lt. Governor of Maryland who is running as a Republican for the Senate seat being vacated by Paul Sarbanes. Michael Steele is black.
This photo is repulsive.
I don’t have to say anything. The image speaks for itself and the type of people who support this sort of thing. Malkin goes on to detail African-American political types in Maryland who state this sort of thing is just fine. It is not.
This angers me.
It is an anger born of sadness.

This is such a craptacular story, I can’t believe its getting this much play. Read the story, this isn’t racism. This is a black delegate talking about a situation. The quotes are barely in context, and at best its a piece of psuedo-journalism.
People should be talking about why racist perceptions persist in our enlightened era, instead of throwing this stuff back and forth at each other.

[...] How else can you explain Lt. Gov. Michael Steele* of Maryland being pelted with Oreo cookies at Morgan State University in Baltimore? The unfunny joke — Oreos are black on the outside, white on the inside — shouldn’t make any reasonable person laugh. [...]
