"The Summer of Love...all were a testament to what a welcoming place the town was."

San Francisco may have been welcoming to those 60's folks, but they were not welcoming to others. They despised the military back then, and they held a lot of other foolish, stupid opinions. There are few people more narrow-minded and empty-headed than a hippie. Intolerant prigs.

San Francisco changed a long time ago. I was raised in the City and lived there the majority of my life. Once the liberals got ahold of her, that's all she wrote. The once blue collar neighborhoods became gentrified. The military, which was such an integral part of SF, were scorned. The waterfront - well, they raped it. The ethnic groups, minorities, became the majority when it came to politics. I got the hell out ten years ago and never looked back.
