Out here in the sticks and backwoods (Oregon) our legislature meets every two years. There are constant calls from the legislature and guvner to make it an annual party, but us common folk just don’t see the use.

You see, if they can only screw us up and around every other year, we’re way ahead of the game.

Seems to me gridlock will serve the same purpose. ‘Specially since most the bat-brained dirt-for-ethics jerks in both houses and parties care more about their own re-elections than they do for either their own constituents or the country.
