Don Imus: Jivin’ While White
Kinda like driving while black?
So, everyone’s heard the Don Imus story. No need to repeat it. No need for careful analysis or engaging debate. It’s a simple, straight-forward answer: There is a double standard. Period. Another victory for race hustler and special interests.
Sticks and stones? Words will get you fired — if you’re white.
If you say anything derogatory, about anyone, that hurts someone’s feeling, and you happen to be white, better get ready to plead for forgiveness. Tolerance? Not for all. Liberals and non-white only need apply.
Imus was initially suspended for two weeks after he called the Rutgers women’s basketball team “nappy-headed hos” on the air last week. But outrage kept growing and advertisers kept bolting from his CBS radio show and its MSNBC simulcast, which was canceled Wednesday.
“Nappy-headed hos”? Hos?
And who, pray tell, added this gem into our cultural lexicon?
It don’t matter yo. Kiss the ring of Al Sharpton. Jesse Jackson. Let every grievance group jump on the bandwagon — there’s political ground to be won on the Imus fallout. Sho’nuff.
So, has justice been served? Will society be cleaning up it’s language?
Don’t expect Big Al or Jesse J. or any others to be demanding an assembly of popular rappers to apologize for their well-recorded use of vulgarities, violence, misogynism, and anti-Semitism. They’re too busy making money from it.
Perhaps Snoopy Doggy Dogg says it best:
-
“Beeyatch! (Beeyatch!)
I come thru with the humps,
I thump tha shit out’cha block
I’m on alert for the cops, be on alert for the cop
Spot us some hos, tooted my horn at the bitch
. . .
Niggas got hos but ladies in the world
they wanna play wit their minds like little girls
I twirled my fingers in the air
rubbed my fingers thru my hair”
We couldn’t have said it better.
But Snoop’s hos be different, right? Pathetic. What’s left?
Maybe Imus can rap for a living. We won’t discriminate.

Imus was/is a slugbrain zit that shouldn’t have been on the air past the first minute of his first day, but that’s a different tune.
What gets me about this whole excruciating (for the public) ordeal is the the REVERENDS Jackson and Sharpton have both said things as bad or worse, have apologized and been “forgiven” by “the public”, yet, contrary to their own biblical teaching refuse not to judge as they have been judged.
It’s no wonder jihadists (and the French) sneer at our society, with such shining examples of Christianity. Vipers.

Funny in a way, as a link from the Drudge Report says:
Democratic politicians lose a soapbox with Imus…” This links to an LA Times story saying the Democrats are losing a big sympathetic voice.
I thought liberals got one pass, but maybe not anymore.

[...] With “big” news like the still-referenced Duke rape case — you know the one where white lacrosse players were (falsely) accused of raping a black stripper dancer — and the more recent heavy-breathing over Don Imus, there’s little wonder that the MSM doesn’t have the time or attention left to cover other stories. Especially ones that don’t fit their racial profiling. [...]
