BTW, if know anything about volcanos, you know they spit out all sorts of stuff. H20. CO2. HCl. Sulfates, aerosols, dust, etc. Some of these things have a positive forcing effect on global warming. Others, the opposite.

stupiddems. you're hilarious. i simply put volcanic emissions in there as one of those things that is known about and is given due consideration during analysis. Another correction for you: global warming is caused by man AND nature. It isn't either/or. Unfortunately, man happens to be the problem this time around. I agree with you that 'they' (meaning 'us') should be spending money to fund alternative sources of energy AND encouraging conservation. Lord knows the oil companies and automanufacturers have no economic incentive to do so. Do I think we should gut climate study funding to do so? No, not really. We do need to work seriously on amelioration though I fear it may be past the turning point and all policy initiatives may be moot. However, what I'd like to see is a rejection of the current conservative stance of denial of global warming, since the preponderance of evidence is against them, and embrace the debate and aggressively set the terms of policy.

Your obsession to prove your ignorance is quite entertaining. Volcanic emissions actually cool the surface of the earth – so much for your scientific understanding of life. Also, Scientists differ if global warming is caused by man or nature. Like I said, the emotionalism of today is to fleece the treasuries of these countries. Instead they should use the money to fund projects for alternative energy instead of studying to find out what is causing global climate vacillations.

stupiddems,
yes, we know all about things like solar variability, volcanic emissions, natural variability, etc. taken all this into account already thank you. please show up at some of the science meetings before you wag your tongue next time.

The artic ocean was melted from the 9th-12th centuries – WTF is global warming then? Why do you think that huge block of ICE is called Greenland – because it was white back then – idiots are the lefties. Global warming is fabricated by the poor lefties to fleece the world’s treasuries. Nothing you can do about Sun cycles and nature.

Gary, your knowledge and understanding of global warming data would fill a Pez dispenser. I keep telling you: debate long and hard the policy implications for global warming but at least go out and learn some science before pontificating about what you clearly don't understand. You quote about Deming is particularly egregious: you don't know who he his, you don't know anything about what he does, yet you seem all to ready to believe anything the man has to say. That, in itself, tells me you really don't care what the science has to say and is and attitude towards facts that I thought you might be immune towards. Seems you have as much 'belief' and 'faith' in your side as you claim the liberals have in theirs. BTW, Christie would not say that global warming is not occurring because, oh my, that's what his own data sets show. Way to hit a homer, Gary. Care to quote Michael Crichton (the medical doctor/novelist/not-a-climate-scientist) some more? Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, Gary.
