Cindy Sheehan Returns Home To A “Hero’s Welcome”
That’s how the S.F. Chronicle reports it, anyway.
At the risk of giving Cindy Sheehan any more unnecessary press, we have to acknowledge this epic news since she’s in our backyard (so to speak).
AP reports: “Peace mom Cindy Sheehan, after wrapping up her tour of the country, returned home Wednesday to northern California where she plans to continue her protest of the Iraq war.”
“I’ll be a grieving mom until I die because of the lies that took my son,” said Sheehan, making her first public appearance in the liberal San Francisco Bay area since the August vigil. “I plan on keeping this up until the troops are brought home.”
. . .Sheehan said she has received encouragement and support in Vacaville, Calif. the San Francisco suburb where her three surviving children still live. Sheehan, whose husband filed for divorce while she was staked out in Texas, has since moved to Berkeley.”
We can think of no place more appropriate. At least they can be together in spirit.
UPDATE:
Jason Smith says Cindy is just “Shoveling more bullsh…eehan”

Sheehan is just a lunatic and I cant beleive that anyone supports her, muchless welcome her back. Her family hates her, and so does America. That lady needs to be deported, I’m sick of her crap.

She has certainly found her calling. Too bad she has to use her son to make it happen.

I kept asking myself how much worse it could be with Cindy, I kept asking “does this woman have any respect for hte dead or anyone else?”
And I keep getting my answer
And I keep asking the same damn question

Her son died for a good cause and that was killing Extreme Islamic Iraqis. A dead U.S. soldier is worth the price of two dead
Muslim terrorists Iraqis. Anyone who whines about the death of their son’s death as a result of fighting the Iraqis and Afghanis is a traitor and should be deported like Kate says. Thank god Vice President Cheney has finally told us the truth about how long this war will last. As far as I am concerned, two decades is not long enough. Shut up, Cindy. You don’t speak for us!

Something very weird about this story. I know for a fact that Cindy Sheehan was in SOUTHERN California Friday night at the Beverly Hilton for the annual birthday party and awards ceremony that Jesse Jackson gives for himself on behalf of Rainbow Push. I know someone who was at that and saw Cindy Sheehan herself. Maybe the woman flies around like a bat in the California belfry, ya think?

It was just June when a letter was published in the Vacaville Reporter thanking all the crafstmen who donated time and materials to totally remodel Muther Sheehan’s home.

Now, she’s moved to Berkley and left the remainder of her family behind…
And this is the mother that is supposed to be so grief stricken for the loss of her son?
You know it’s another full moon, when there is another Sheehan sighting!
