Whenever I listen to Ms. Sheehan, I am struck by her child-like inflections. "You LLLLIED TO US!" to President Bush, in her Moveon.org-sponsored commercial.

I can't seem to find any information on her education or work experience, but I am guessing it's either minimal or COMPLETELY unrelated to Political Science, International Affairs or Public Relations. Hers is a black-and-white world of right and wrong...what one might expect from a child in his/her core belief structure.

And like a child, she now can't get enough attention. Surrounded by narrow-minded "Peace Regardless" yes-people, she has been having the time of her life and simply doesn't want it to end...because then she might have to return home to her broken family life and pick up the pieces.

Sue,

I hope my HTML is up to snuff. This is a photo of the ex-Marine. I didn't bother to catch his name. He's the one on the left in the red shirt:

<a target="_blank" HREF="http://www.johnnyproctor.com/sqsp2/exmarine.jpg"><B>Ex-Marine</B></A>

This is a group of the other folks at the protest:
<a target="_blank" HREF="http://www.johnnyproctor.com/sqsp2/campcasey.jpg"><B>People I debated</B></A>

What I find interesting is that out of the 125 or so people there, 90 at least were Cindy Sheehan's entourage. There were very few locals. I recognized a group in the crowd that is part of a local peace organization, and they were about 15 or so. We counter protest them every Wed. night. So only, what, 15 were actual local supporters? What a farce. Cindy tried to protray this rally as an overwhelming success when in reality those numbers by any other group would be called a failure.

Interesting point you brought out. We have been counter protesting a the peace group here on Saturdays for 2 hours just outside the main gate of our military post. They have the audacity to hold signs that say, "Military Family Against the War". We asked them how many were military families, and one disgruntled Vietnam Vet who was most likely drafted raised his hand. These are a bunch of liars. I hate to be so blunt but they pose as military families, which is highly offensive to those of us who actually punch the clock as such. It'd be like me saying I'm a testicular cancer surviver against radiation treatment.

Just rember this when you think about what we are doingIt took almost 7 years for Japan and 11 years for Germany to both be strong Democracies and now we all are reaping the benefits of that long hard fight. Our parents, grand parents and many soldiers from many different countries that most of us will never know fought hard and fierce and some gave their lives for Democracy. Now it is our time to stand up and fight for Democracy and give to not only our children and grand children but to all the people of the world the same freedoms that we have all benefited from, Democracy.

I wonder what the name of the soldier who supposedly fought in Fallujeh is. Not that there might not be differences of opinion among soldiers, but they _are_ all volunteers. I remember that many who claimed to be Vietnam vets were not, and many who claimed to have medals from Vietnam didn't. There is a website to check if people claiming to be Seals really are. It might be interesting to check to see if those who support Sheehan and also claim to have served in Iraq really are/were members of the military in good standing, and if they actually served in Iraq(assuming they claim to have).

Thank you for going to that ridiculous rally, and talking with the newly returned hero. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to confront this dingbat, though I wanted to do so while she was here in Texas. America did not see the HUGE numbers of supporters holding signs like yours, the media was afraid to show how many they were.

I actually enjoy confrontations with libs, they are so easy to rile. When you offer facts in a quiet voice, they turn red, get in your face and screech like a wounded kitten! They rarely have a scintilla of what the truth is, and all they can do is spout hate of Dubya! Hate does make you stupid! ROFL
