Cheney’s Accident Wasn’t an Accident

At least, that’s what columnist Barry Saunders thinks in this column, titled “Dummy up, Scooter”. After hearing about his column, I asked myself if this guy was a Rove plant to make Democrats look like idiots or if he was a Dean plant to make Dean look rational. I’ll let you decide after getting this glimpse of the column:

If you believe it was just an accident that Vice President Dick Cheney shot his hunting companion last weekend, you obviously have never seen “The Godfather” movies. Just as surely as a fish wrapped in a bulletproof vest means “Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes,” that shotgun blast to Whittington’s face was meant to convey that I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby had better bite his tongue and forget about testifying against Cheney, his former boss, in the Valerie Plame spy case.

What’ll it be, Scooter: a case of amnesia or lead poisoning?

I’m sure that he’ll respond by saying that this was just an attempt at humor and that it shouldn’t be taken seriously. Quite frankly, it’s impossible to take newspapers seriously these days, especially in light of yesterday’s temper tantrum at the WH press briefing.

I’ve emailed Saunders to get this clarified. I’ll keep you posted on any forthcoming clarification.

PS — It’s also possible that Mr. Saunders is a double agent, sent by Dean to make him look rational but then ‘flipped’ by the devillish Rove to make liberals look like idiots.

Note to all, whether conservative or liberal:

The finger pointing has got to stop. Has it occured to anyone (besides me) that we are simply sowing what we reap?

“…a school told students they couldn’t wear red and green because they are Christmas colors. That’s flat-out fascism.”

Remember this whole story? Standing on high, O’Reilly spins (and yes, I’m going to say it… the “No Spin Zone” is a farce and every conservative in America should be ashamed of Bill O’Reilly) this story, when on its face, is nothing less than an effort to stir up controversy. And we wonder where the terrorists get their ideas.

I woke up in the middle of last night, thinking about the next attack and it dawned on me: they don’t have to attack us. We’re attacking ourselves.

Uhhhh…thanks for the bumper sticker Rocky. Got any proof that the story was fake? Otherwise, try to stay on topic.
