State Reparations Bill for Latinos
And some people think we just have illegal immigration to deal with.
AP reports: “Responding to a dark, little-known chapter in American history, the Assembly voted Tuesday to establish a state fund that could be used to pay reparations to survivors of a massive deportation of Latinos in the 1930s.”
Why’s it gotta be “dark?” We’re filing a complaint.
“By a 41-23 vote, lawmakers approved a bill by Sen. Joe Dunn, D-Garden Grove, that also would create a 16-member commission to make recommendations to the governor and Legislature on how to redress the deportations.
It would take subsequent legislation to appropriate money for the fund, however.”
If it takes a little longer, that’s ok. By then, they’ll probably be able to drive to the bank, too.
Could this be another example of Democrats pandering to the drifting Latino vote?

Unfortunately this one might be owed. There were quite a few people deported in the 30s that were actually U.S Citizens. So in that regard those people deserve the payment (if they are still alive). But obviously no one here illegally deserves jack.
