Al-Qaida Calls for Holy War Against Israel — And The Rest of The World, Too…

Al-zawahri - Malahalalhalhalhahla!AP reports: “Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader issued a worldwide call Thursday for Muslims to rise up in a holy war against Israel and join the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza until Islam reigns from “Spain to Iraq.”

In the message broadcast by Al-Jazeera television, Ayman al-Zawahri, second in command to Osama bin Laden, said that al-Qaida now views “all the world as a battlefield open in front of us.”

The Egyptian-born physician said that the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah and Palestinian militants would not be ended with “cease-fires or agreements.”

Do you hear that, liberal protesters?

“It is a jihad (holy war) for the sake of God and will last until (our) religion prevails … from Spain to Iraq,” al-Zawahri said. “We will attack everywhere.”

Well, there you have it. That’s the plan.

Diplomacy? Anyone?

He said Arab regimes were accomplices to Israel. “My fellow Muslims, it is obvious that Arab and Islamic governments are not only impotent but also complicit … and you are alone on the battlefield. Rely on God and fight your enemies … make yourselves martyrs.”

Appeasement and negotiation are not options.

He also called for the “downtrodden” throughout the world, not just Muslims, to join the battle against “tyrannical Western civilization and its leader, America.”

Sounds like Cesar Chavez and his pal, Cindy Sheehan. Is he also blogging on the DailyLostKos?

“Stand with Muslims in confronting this unprecedented oppression and tyranny. Stand with us as we stand with you against this injustice that was forbidden by God in his book (the Quran),” al-Zawahri said.

Y’know, maybe we should rethink our strategy and forget about military might. Instead, simply send armed liberals and the ACLU to the Middle East. Just like the successful battle they’ve been waging in U.S., in no time they would have all references to religion driven from politics and the public square.

Only problem is, unlike Christians today, who allow themselves to be mocked and persecuted by remaining nonviolent, the Islamists would respond to the ACLU much differently.

Terrorism is a plague upon the earth. And that’s no joke.

It’s absolutely astonishing how well Islamo-fascists like al-Zawahri know how to appeal to leftist sympathies and talking points. I keep thinking of bin Laden quoting chapter and verse from Michael Moore before the election. they know darn well that they simply have to appeal to leftist identity philosophy to get folks like Sheehan eating from their hands and acting as their apologists and enablers.

Or what if it’s just the pointless rants of a bloodthirsty madman, who’s grasping for straws and has no intention of making good on his threats, in an effort to manipulate people into joining his ridiculous war?

And since the government is so concerned for it’s people’s safety, why has nothing been done to deter North Korea, which is presenting slightly more evidence of destructive capability than a beat-up, low quality VHS tape? Or is it just this whole “Islam” thing that the religious Right finds so threatening to their moral values, much like the way that allowing Gay Marriage (as opposed to, let’s say, Michael Jackson, Joan Collins, J.Lo, & Britney Spears) would destroy all marriages in America?

And last, how does it feel knowing that you can be driven to such an overblown, “the sky is falling!”-type, and with all due respect, slightly cowardly, reaction- based on a transcript of the aforementioned VHS tape of a man who has yet to follow through on a single major threat he’s made, and play right into his hands?

Hey Josef Kach, where were you when Hitler needed you?

Remember 9/11. London. Italy. Spain. India. Need we go on? If you need more proof that al-Qaeda is “making good” on its threats, call us when your done reading the New York Times.

Now this is remarkable. Again, I marvel at your ability to produce this shell of satire. Clever, by the way, re-spelling my name as “Josef”. Like Stalin, right? Man, that is good. If you came up with that yourself, you have to teach me your secrets. And then the Hitler thing! Awesome. I cannot think of a more illogical and juvenile way to turn the tide of a conversation to your end other than calling a man a Nazi for showing his belief that mankind can & should be better than this. But be careful, man, the act is slipping a little. See, over here, you pointed out that my non-violent point of view somehow makes me Hitler. But then you go ahead & make a comment about military combatants having to fight dirty out in the “real world”. “There is no fair fight in a war” right? See what I mean. I get what you’re trying to do, but you should revise some wording. Because, to me, advocating & supporting the deaths of 400+ noncombatant civilians sounds more like Hitler than someone who’s just asking people to think a little bit before demonstrating yet another tried & true knee-jerk reaction. But, what do I know? I’ve only read a few books here & there.
Speaking of which, & as luck would have it, I *have* read about these events that you mentioned. (Good call mentioning 9/11 first, by the way. Once again you’ve shown your ability to exploit yet another Conservative stereotype, that being the invocation of 9/11 to guilt people out of disagreeing with you. If I put your hat on, I’d maybe say something like “And wasn’t that like 5 years ago? Geez, get over it already.” Also, the tape that was sent to the media prior to 9/11 with Zawaheri making direct threats against the U.S., can you remind me what was said? I’m drawing a blank. Thanks.) OK, let’s take a quick look.
London, 7/7/05, train bombings- Now, maybe it’s because I’m basing my views on reality, rather than figments of my paranoid imagination, the only “link” to Al Qaeda was the mention of Bin Laden, al-Zawahri, and al-Zarqawi as “heroes” by one of the suicide bombers. So, a fanatical suicide bomber idolizing members of Al-Qaeda? OK, you’re right, that must mean they share a toilet.
In fact, here’s a quote from BBC (I know, it’s a UK news source, not American, so therefore more than likely unreliable, correct?)that supports your take:
“The extent of Al-Qaeda involvement in the attacks, which killed 52 people, also remained unclear.” And “there is little in their backgrounds which mark them out as particularly vulnerable to radicalisation”.
Oh, oops, that’s not what you wanted. Sorry. Next:
Madrid, Spain, 3/11/04- train bombings: “the 11 March attacks were on a scale far exceeding anything previously attempted by a European militant organisation. This led some to point out that the tactics used were more typical of Islamic militant extremist groups, perhaps with a certain link to Al-Qaeda.” So, *perhaps* there is a *certain link* b/c they are Arab Militants. Yeah, I can see that correlation. Oh, wait, “Nowadays, Judge Del Olmo assigns the responsibility to “local cells of Islamic extremists inspired through the Internet”, not Al-Qaeda, GIA or Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group.” Huh, no direct connection there, either. Uh oh . . . & I could go on to. I could also mention that the majority of terrorist attacks that have been directly tied to Al Qaeda have mainly been localized to the Middle East, like Riyadh & Amman. I’ll let you figure out the corresponding country. But they don’t count, right? What’s a few more dead Arabs? And, besides all that, I thought I had made it clear I was talking about following through with threats made to America. Let me know if I slept through one or something.

And in all seriousness, this is all semantics. My point is any time a video is shown featuring an angry brown person in a turban, this country freaks out & goes on mattress & duct tape shopping sprees, once again fueling the government’s perception of how easy we puppet people are to control.

I came to this site hoping to engage myself in an educated discourse with people who view things differently than me, in a hope to learn something, or shed light on a situation. And yet, to no one’s surprise, I get the same, old, tired, “Have you forgotten 9/11, man? When the Iraqis attacked us! You don’t support us? You’re a freakin’ Nazi, man!” But, I understand, I suppose, that it is the good, God-fearing Christian point of view to promote & endorse hatred & death in a part of the world they’ll never set foot on. Isn’t that Jesus did? Gathered large armies of the uneducated & had them destroy other countries who only he deemed an international threat? Yeah, that seems like something Jesus would support.

And, of course, you focused on one aspect of my post, & then told me to do some reading, though you hadn’t even bothered to fully read what it was I had typed, because suddenly we’re back at 9/11, we’re in London, we’re in Spain, we’re in Italy, & Al Qaeda, the Phantom Menace, is everywhere! Oooohhh . . . spooky! And then the rest of my post is conveniently ignored.
So, I’ve not found what I was hoping for & will leave you in your little wrong-Right world. I’m sorry if I have violated your personal space.
And one last thing: I Know quite a few “good, Conservative Christians.” I grew up in Fresno. And while I may not agree with everything they believe either, they have shown me that people like you are not really conservative. You’re just a bunch of assholes trying to force a misguided agenda on other people & enjoy being told what to do & how to think. Congratulations.
And the Hitler comment was pretty pathetic. Only one person I can think of right now who comes pretty close to Hitler in the way they run a country & tend to foreign policy, & it’s probably the guy you voted for in 2004.

    Thanks again,
    –J.
