Another Storm Brewing: Chief Justice Rehnquist Dies, Bush Must Name Another

William H. Rehnquist, RIPWith all due respect to those mourning the passing of William H. Rehnquist at the age of 80 and after a distinguished 33-year career on the bench (may he rest in peace), the timing is also unfortunate for George W. Bush.

With the President’s plate already heavy managing the Katrina clean-up, our mission in Iraq and, as his enemies eagerly point out, sagging approval ratings, this is another big piece to add.

Some are worried whether he’ll have enough political capital to fight the liberal opposition to any conservative nominee.

It’s another storm brewing.

UPDATE:
Carrying the flag of optimism…

SactoDan sees it another way: Dems are “stretched thin”

(Albeit, working with “thin” arguments aren’t new to them, and sometimes they still win)
