Immigration: “The Revolution Has Come”
Not our words. But thanks.

Today, the AP reports: President Bush, facing Republican divisions on immigration, urged the Senate on Wednesday to swiftly approve a comprehensive bill affecting millions of illegal immigrants now in the country. “This is a vital debate,” he declared.
You have no idea, Mr. President.
Senate Democrats pushed for a vote on a bipartisan immigration bill that would allow the illegal immigrants to remain in the country and become permanent residents after paying $2,000 fines and back taxes, learning English and working six years.
Several rank-and-file Republicans objected, and Majority Leader Bill Frist and fellow Republicans spent much of the day trying to find an alternative.
Bush said the immigration bill should include a guest worker provision that allows illegal immigrants to remain in the United States to peform jobs that, he said, Americans will not perform. But he said the legislation should not include an amnesty provision that provides automatic citizenship. [Editor's note: Well, at least that]
He called on the Senate “to come to a conclusion as quickly as possible and pass a comprehensive bill.”
Why hurry? It’s only 30 years overdue.
Unfortunately, some politicians just don’t get it.

I have created an article on the travesty of the Maywood protest results and the Mexican flag incident. I’m more than happy to share it here and spread the word.

This has got to stop. Come November I will be voting for a 3rd party candidate. Obviously Arnold is not doing anything to solve this problem and Angelides might as well call himself a reconquista agent.
I will be voting for Art Olivier for Governor in California come November. I think this guy is the real deal. If you are from California, check out this link http://www.2006gov.com I think this guy is the real deal! Spread the word!
It is time to vote for someone who will do something to stop the illegal immiration problem.
August 30th, 2006 at 12:09 pm
As Slick Willie would say, “We feel yer pain.” Lord knows, we really do.
But since Art Olivier doesn’t stand a chance to win…drawing votes for him will just give more odds to favor Angelides.
And despite everything, that would be worse than having Arnold for another term.
August 30th, 2006 at 11:37 pm
Not this time California Conservative… I have voted Democrat and I have voted Republican. I voted for Arnold in the recall election and what do we get? He signed the border governors petition urging the congress to pass the Senate’s abomination of an Amnesty bill. No way. I am not going to vote for the lesser of two evils this time. The hell with Arnold and the hell with Angelides. I have had ENOUGH!!! You can feel my pain allright, but I will no vote for Arnold this time. I will vote for the candidate that has the b*lls to even show up to that Maywood event and call like it is. That took COJONES. That’s the man I want in office and right now… Art Olivier is that man.
August 30th, 2006 at 11:49 pm
We appreciate your enthusiasm and your conviction. We feel the same way.
However, our earlier point is that you won’t get Olivier elected. He’s got no name recognition. He’s got no track record. There’s no way for him to win a majority. Hence, every vote for him merely takes them away from Arnold - which bolsters the chances for Angelides.
Now, if you accept the fact that Olivier doesn’t stand a chance, would you prefer Arnold or Angelides? Inevitably, that’s the *real* choice you’ll be making.
September 1st, 2006 at 3:39 pm
That’s exactly why we are in the mess we are. Always voting for the lesser of two evils instead of voting for the candidate that will best represent your views. Like I said. This time I am going 3rd Party and yes, I have given alot of thought to this.
Take care CaliforniaConservative. I will be voting Olivier, McClintock and Mountjoy in November.
