Heard in a local tavern more than 50 years ago:

#1: WHat bugs me the most Mr. Hillsdale, is that them stinking Irish think they can just up and take over this country. First them filthy people get their own damn school, probably funded by foreign interests and, bleh, that pope guy, and now they’ve got their own basketball team.
#2: I know Mr. Huntington. I can’t believe we don’t just turn those boats around at the dock, with half of them not even carrying proper documents and all. Whats this world coming to?
#1: I for one will stand like a trye American and display my “No Dogs, No Irish” sign proudly next to the American flag…and my family colors of course.
