“Los Rangers” vs. The Yankees

You wonder if it’s a home game?

Michelle Malkin reports: “I’m not a baseball fan, but several readers wrote in about the Yankees-Rangers game last night.”

Evidently, the Texas Rangers decided to trade in their uniforms for something more cultural yesterday. Many fans thought it was a wardrobe malfuction. However, was it just a foolish nod to Cinco de Mayo, or attempt to make a larger political statement? MLB should stay out of that game.

Malkin notes, the Mexican consul approved of the jerseys:

The Consul of Mexico, Sr. Carlos Garcia de Alba, shared his support of the special jerseys in saying, “The Consulate of Mexico congratulates the Texas Rangers for this initiative and thanks them for the support that they are continually giving to the Hispanic community.”

We wonder if President Bush, a sports fan, was informed of the new attire.

Try this on for size: the Yankees won.

One game last season the SF Giants went to the field with Gigantes instead of Giants on the jersies. I forget the occasion - one of the three Mexican independence days I think.

All this PC pandering to special interests is taking away America’s soul. Baseball is American. We are American and now it’s not cool, or even racist, to state that.

Wow, I hope so! I understand there are some available cells at Guantanamo. Geez, is this a pathetic waste of blogspace

Thanks. We prefer orange uniforms for illegals, too.

This was a waste of time. Come on C.C.! “We wonder if President Bush, a sports fan, was informed of the new attire.” Am I supposed to crack up laughing now? Give me a break! Stop blogging like a bitch and give us some substance, Hollywood.

#1: WHat bugs me the most Mr. Hillsdale, is that them stinking Irish think they can just up and take over this country. First them filthy people get their own damn school, probably funded by foreign interests and, bleh, that pope guy, and now they’ve got their own basketball team.
#2: I know Mr. Huntington. I can’t believe we don’t just turn those boats around at the dock, with half of them not even carrying proper documents and all. Whats this world coming to?
#1: I for one will stand like a trye American and display my “No Dogs, No Irish” sign proudly next to the American flag…and my family colors of course.
