Rights are given by the law, and which country's law says that? It isn't Mexico's and it sure the heck isn't America's! The problem is sheer number of them (500,000 illegals) coming in every year making it seem like they aren't assimilating. The US will never have the nerve to deport 11 million. So priority must be on building an effective barrier along the border to prevent <B><I>future</I></B> illegal immigration. The battle is lost for those already here. KFI-LA keeps running these sound bites of high school protesters. It is the funniest thing in the world listing to these students who have absolutely no clue what the issue is. freedom of speech, Martin Luther King's right to protest, freedom, how Bush is going to deport all Mexicans, etc. Mexicans assimilate at the same rate as immigrants from other countries.
