A Day without an American, Pt. II

“Let me be clear — no one is above the law, … Not a politician, not a priest, not a criminal, not a police officer. We are all accountable for our actions.” — Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has a very interesting choice to make now that organizers of the May 1st “Day without a Mexican” protest are openly planning an act of terrorism against the city by seeking to shut down the Los Angeles International Airport and the Los Angeles Port Authority.

Make no mistake about it, any organized effort to shut down an international airport and a U.S. Port of Entry are acts of terrorism, and those organizing this terrorist act need to be prosecuted to the full letter of the law. At this point, the e-mail trail left by the organizers is enough to bring about conspiracy charges. (To read the e-mails of the organizers, go to www.michellemalkin.com)

As for the mayor, he must choose protecting the interests of Los Angeles or siding with the protesters. If the mayor chooses to side with the one million plus illegal immigrants who did not vote him into office, he has chosen to place himself with Che Guevara and Caesar Chavez in the hearts of Latinos. However, such a decision is a choice to commit political suicide by curbing millions of dollars in free trade that would be restrained due to the shutdown of our airport and port authority. I will also further add that such a decision makes him criminally liable for the terrorist act as well as any violence that occurs on May 1st.

I live in L.A. and bore witness to the 1992 race riots. It was one of the most disgusting & barbaric experiences of my life. Sadly, I fear that the May Day revolution that is being called “A Day without a Mexican” may begin in peace but will end with violence in the streets. I hope for the sake of all Los Angelinos that I am wrong.

    Cal/Conserv,
I agree that rank & file U.S. citizens will be put off by a massive May 1, demonstration. However, I fully expect those spineless jellyfish, known as the U.S. Senate, to capitulate; in other words, by adopting some version of the McCain-Kennedy Bill. The politicians just continue to play politics, the actual will of the people be damed. They should be ashamed, but they lack even that basic emotion.
