Lingerie Store Window Has Live Models
Who says men hate shopping?
AP reports: “AUGUSTA, Maine - In this town, window shopping is attracting a lot more guys than usual. A lingerie store called Spellbound is grabbing attention with live models in the window. Some people have complained, but police say there is nothing illegal about the lingerie models.”
The important question: Do they franchise?
“Spellbound owner Felicia Stockford said she has had no trouble finding staffers. She said the young women enjoy strutting their stuff in the shop window.”
And some readers were probably presuming this would have to be a man’s idea.
That’s equality.
Video here. Oh, boy!

As a resident of Augusta, I find store owner Felicia Stockford’s actions in allowing this perversion to be reprehensible. These teenager (self-described) exhibitionist performances are profane, indecent, and not in keeping with current Augusta community standards.
Felicia Stockford is a purveyor of filth and trash and these immoral performances are degrading to the girls involved and women everywhere. The message she sends to our children is that it is okay to degrade yourself in this fashion publically, and to be paid in underwear (as the performers were initially, until the Maine Attorney General informed her that this practice was illegal under state statutes).
It is clear that the feminist movement is dead, when there is no outrage expressed by traditional feminists due to the shop owner being a woman. They’ve been compromised, made irrelevent, and now, silent.

I agree with Mike! I wonder what the police, the city council and Gov. Baldacci would do if a bunch of young adult women were to parade down main street in Augusta, or even in front of the capital in their underwear? That’s called “Indecent Expoure”, yet it’s the same thing as what’s going on in downtown Augusta. And would you people who applaud this behavior enjoy it as much if it were your daughter or granddaugther being the exhibitionist (yes this goes beyond “modeling”)? For those of you who like this sort of thing, order filthy subscriptions and enjoy them in the privacy of your own home, the rest of us don’t need to observe this kind of trash! And to think that Felicia Stockford, who is actually proud of what she is offering, was a teacher….makes one wonder what kind of folks are out there teaching our future generations. Brrrrr.
