Poverty? Who are we to decide if someone is poor or not? Maybe what we think of as “poor” isn’t the same as what poor people think of as “poor.” We really shouldn’t be pushing our own ideas of economics on other people just because their different. They should be left alone to work things out on their own, in their own way, without our interference.

Global Warming? It’s just too big of a job! It’s unwinable! It will take decades, perhaps centuries to defeat global warming. We’ve already been fighting it for years with little or no progress to show. We need to abandon the fight against global warming right now!

The AIDS epidemic? We’re talking about BILLIONS of people, most of them living in foreign countries. What gives us the right to just march in there and help them? How much will it cost? More importantly, when will the cure be found? If President Bush can’t give a precise day and time when the fight against AIDS will end, then we should just give up now.

Actually, using the Democrats Iraq logic, we should just give up on anything that’s the least bit difficult, no matter how important or worth doing it is.
