Pelosi Hails Democrats’ Diverse War Stances
So reads a headline in today’s Washington Post.
Now that the heavy fighting is over, Democrats are posturing to share in the victory of bringing democracy to Iraq.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said yesterday that Democrats should not seek a unified position on an exit strategy in Iraq, calling the war a matter of individual conscience and saying differing positions within the caucus are a source of strength for the party.
Pelosi said Democrats will produce an issue agenda for the 2006 elections but it will not include a position on Iraq. There is consensus within the party that President Bush has mismanaged the war and that a new course is needed, but House Democrats should be free to take individual positions, she sad.
SisterToldjah says it best: “Now that’s a position of strength in the war on terror if I’ve ever seen one.” Indeed. Very decisive.
Meanwhile, tearing a page from the Kerry playbook, a stylishly flak-jacketed Sen. Joe Biden was seen posing for photos in Iraq.
Leave the fighting to others. Criticize, but take credit for success.
Democratic leadership at its finest.

Her moonbattiness never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think she can’t get any more out in left field, she proves me wrong. What a great plan!

Special Nancy Pelosi Friday Edition
Apparently, I missed a meeting, and everybody decided to make a joke out of the Democratic Party’s lack of an Iraq strategy. Of course, I don’t believe for a minute that Nancy Pelosi would be clueless enough to say this,…

“There is consensus within the party that President Bush has mismanaged the war and that a new course is needed, but House Democrats should be free to take individual positions, she sad.”
So, was that “she sad” a slip of the spell check or something more intentional?

Heh. That’s funny. Good catch.
You’d have to ask the WaPo, because they printed it that way — and it still hasn’t been corrected as of this morning.
