I'm really loving the theme of your blog. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog audience have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any suggestions to help fix this issue?

Also, this may bother you, and you may kick me out - but the truth is the truth.

There was NO large amount of looting or chaos. The great amount of the people - the majority wre Black AMericans - were patient and law-abiding - and rightfully, very angry about having been abandoned for more than 4 days.

The U.S. news media is bought and paid for by the gov. The actual events of No are not being shown to us - but the foreign press is kept up to date.

But why should this bother - since we are filmers of the most chilling horror movies ever shown in the world?

I saw on the tv - only once - a male witness talking about having seen an alligator.

The devastation is worse than is being allowed to be seen - told here. There are a lot more dead - and bodies floating on the water. SOmetime an alligator right next to the bodies.

When the clean up begins, this will not be told. The military there now is gathering up all the bodies and such.

And as you know the price gouging by the oil corps. has begun at aver. $6.00/gal. in the SOuth.

And the ripple effect will be felt in the rest of the country - since NO was Mississippi gateway to the rest of the U.s.

As
someone say, "they never knew that the oil taken was a matter of instantaneous production and presentation to the public"
What sarcasm, eh?

Actually, the U.S. gov.- kit and kaboddle has turned them down.

The equivalent of: "No. Thanks. We don't need yur help. We can do it on our own>"

There have b een 25 countries that have offered immediate help - even before 4 days -
incl. China -
Russia -
Venezuela - which offered oil at a very reduced rate
Canada - also -has been turned down.
the Netherlands - the finest expert on buiding and maintaining dykes -offered his help in rebuilding - but was turned down

We need all the help we can get, but the gov. thinks it owns us - body and soul - so it doesn't bother to consult us.

This one is for Matt,

within the EU there are two sides, the first is willing to send tents, food, water, waterpumps, etc. The second, which includes Germany and the Netherlands wants to send the supplies and two million barrels of oil a day. So to say that Europe is very supportive. There are also camps that are less willing, which includes the Italians........

It may not be much, but the Netherlands is also sending a frigate with supplies, F-16's and a recovery-team. We also offered our knowledge on building defenses against the water. But most of all remember that you're not alone. Many countries are willing to help, but in size and power we can not be compared to the US.

I am not sure where you get your information from?? Canada is now sending down four ships of supplies, and has offered its Emergency responce team, Most of the european countries have offered to help in any way they can. World Aid agencies have collected millions of dollars for the disaster area.

I agree, why is it that we are expected to come running every time a poorer nation skins its knee. Yet when it is us that is down no one will even lend so much as a hand to get us back on our feet. It is sickning and I truly believe that we need to re-evaluate our philanthropist tendencies.

I too am wondering if any other country on this earth will assist the US in this time of need. We give billions of dollars to the world and yet we receive snubs in return. I do understand that as a wealthy country it is incumbent to assist those less fortunate; However, I wonder what would happen, if for one year, all US aid went to legal US citizens only.......???

Europeans does not even seem to care about it. They dont say that, but surely they are thinking, as after Sept. 11, the Americans deserve it!
I tell you this because I am Italian and believe me, America does not need this liar and anti american europe, italy included of course.
Thank God I have got part of the family in the US.
My prayers go to the people out there in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama as President Bush said.
May God watch over the United States of America.
Matt.

Aftermath...

Already 88 confirmed dead (updated) and sadly, most of the devastation is only beginning. CNN is reporting that a levee on Lake Pontchartrain has sustained a breach, and flood waters are rising. More coverage can be found at Fox
