DNC Foreign Policy Update: Henry Reid Now Blames Bush For Relying On France and Germany
So much for “working with our allies” and “building coalitions.”
That was so yesterday.
In regards to foreign policy and taking action on Iran, Democrats are now criticizing President Bush for not being tough enough and not “taking the lead.”
AP reports:
The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid.
Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program. [Publisher's note: And let's not forget the U.N.]
“It is hard to comprehend,” Reid said Tuesday in Reno. “We should be involved at trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution. … Not just these three countries.”
Is anybody following the bouncing ball bull?
(Thanks to reader Carlos for the correction)
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It’s the “D” in DNC.
In any case, when historians narrate the history of America’s involvement in Iraq, perhaps they can borrow the phrasings from Crazy Ol’ Henry, explaining that America correctly “took the lead,” taking action without “relying on France and Germany.”

Is that “…following the bouncing ball?” or “…following the bouncing bull?”
Wonder if Reid will ever say anything that makes a lick of sense and concurs with whatever he had to say on any subject just six months prior?
